13.07.05 - Tuna Propagation Project Underway.
A major project to propagate Southern Bluefin Tuna (SBT) has commenced at Arno Bay on the State’s west coast. Clean Seas Aquaculture Pty Ltd has commenced early propagation trials with Southern Bluefin Tuna broodstock and is hoping to be the first in the world to spawn SBT.

13.07.05 - New abalone sea cages being trialled on the west coast.
A new abalone cage design is being trialled in waters off the State’s west coast. Initial results have proved extremely promising with some industry observers expecting the new technology will become commonplace within two years.
